“It’s summertime and the living is easy…” When the weather turns sunny the ’64 Fairlane comes out of the garage and it is time to go cruisin’. In July we took our car up to Penticton to the beautiful Painted Rock Winery for a family wedding. We also gave our two-year old granddaughter her first ride. Although back seat belts were not mandatory in 1964 the new ones Sig installed worked fine for strapping in the car seat with that precious cargo. Sig has been trying to teach her to say Gulfstream Aqua when reviewing her colours with her but it is a bit of a mouthful. The Fairlane has been in our family for 25 years. It has been a daily driver, our boat hauler, camping vehicle, a graduation car, a wedding car and now it has the honour of having collector plates and only sees the outdoors when the weather is fine.
